They are not as pretty as some snakes and lizards but they

are still pretty neat, and I would like to see one in the wild. I did get to hold a baby albino one at the fair a couple of years ago. That was fun!

birthday trip

On our tenth birthday each of us get to pick a place to go for the weekend, so this weekend me and Daddy went to rocky gap state park in Maryland. First we did one of the trails and got to get really close to some deer,

then the next morning we went back, as we were driving to the parking lot we found a turtle.

then we did the trail again, and after that we went fishing.then we decided to try fishing from a canoe, but all we caught were weeds.

The other night I was just standing on the patio when all of a sudden I looked over and saw this little black line sliding under the bike, so I began to chase it and when i finally caught it by the
tail, look what it turned out to be!





I think it's a young black rat snake . He was a feisty little booger! He kept striking and did bite me when I tried to grab him to let him go. It hurt a little, but not as much as I thought it would. I wish I could have kept him!

Bentley

our Dog, Bentley's birthday is next month. She's grown a lot since we got her.

You can't really tell in the pictures I guess, but she really has grown a lot.

Field trip

A few weeks ago we went to Fort Miles at Cape Henlopen state park. we got to go on neat tour of the inside of the fort, see lots of BIG guns!! they even shot one of the 3-inch ones. and they did a re-enactment thing. after that was over we went to the beach, and then we went on the ferry. it was a really fun day.

Discoverys last landing

Discovery landed for the last time the other day. It was it's last trip to space, and now they are going to put it in a museum (hopefully near Delaware) I still want to be an astronaut even though I won't get to ride in a space shuttle. There are 2 more space shuttle missons still to go before the program ends, April 19th is Endeavor's last launch and, June 28th is the last one for Atlantis.

Lego fun

A few months ago, me and my brother made a lego movie by taking pictures of the lego guys. When you scroll through the pictures really fast, it makes it look like a movie. It is about a builder and a police officer who don't get along very well. After chasing a run away tire, and getting into a bunch of fights they finally become friends.

Escape Artists

We have a lot of snow. Our dogs, Raf and Bentley, have enjoyed climbing the fence and running around the neighbors yard. I have enjoyed catching them. We had big snow drifts that were as high as the fence. That's how they climbed out. One time, they almost got hit by a car.

After that, mommy dug a trench in the snow all the way around. They will have to prove that they are good jumping artists to jump over now.

After the last time they escaped, we put them in the pen. Raf was tired and went to sleep right away.

Football!

I love football! This year, I'm playing flag football. I hope I can play tackle next year. I have one more game left. I hope we win. We are 7-2-0 this year. It's been a lot of fun. Jay is on my team too. This week the dolphins play against Tampa Bay. Go Dolphins!!!!

our trip to the firehouse...

Last friday we went on a field trip to the firehouse. We did lots of neat stuff such as riding in a real fire truck, going in a hay maze that had pretend smoke in it, shooting the firehose, etc. The only thing we didn't get to see was the kitchen thingie at the end but they were supposed to light the pan on fire and tell us what to do if we were helping in the kitchen and a grease fire broke out. they showed us thier suit and gave us plastic fire hats
